Thanks, Gov. Quinn for increasing taxes even more!  Things like bottled tea, and beauty products are GREAT things to tax!  Asshole.  Did it ever occur to you that taxing “beauty products” is a little unfair to women in this state?  I mean, aside from the fact that it’s totally ludicrous to begin with.  Oh, and thanks again for raising the fees for motorists.  Because 3 of your cop friends gang raped me last week with tickets.  Apparently screwing over people illegally isn’t enough for you.  Oh, wait, you’re already doing that.  My bad.

Possibly the only good thing Joe Moore has ever done.  I’m sure this had NOTHING to do with the fact that the kid contacted the Tribune to help him.  You know why they were able to help this kid so fast?  Because he was doing NOTHING ELSE.

7/7 musings

I have to say…perhaps “I Love You” balloons are super cheesy, but sometimes they are the most perfect thing you can give someone.  That and limited edition band memorabilia.

Also, kissing is fun.

You know, feeling emo, same old.  I wish I had life figured out…I wish I could fix everything for everybody.  I wish I was good enough….I wish I didn’t cringe every time I look into the mirror, or remind myself of what a loser I am.  I wish my friends didn’t all move away…I wish the few friends I still have here weren’t all getting married…makes me feel like an even bigger loser.  I wish people were happy with me, flaws and all, including myself.

Here we go with the quotes:

Remember, we all stumble, every one of us.  That’s why it’s a comfort to go hand in hand.  ~Emily Kimbrough

Oh, the comfort – the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person – having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words, but pouring them all right out, just as they are, chaff and grain together; certain that a faithful hand will take and sift them, keep what is worth keeping, and then with the breath of kindness blow the rest away.  ~Dinah Craik, A Life for a Life, 1859

In the coldest February, as in every other month in every other year, the best thing to hold on to in this world is each other.  ~Linda Ellerbee, Move On: Adventures in the Real World

Once the realization is accepted that even between the closest human beings infinite distances continue, a wonderful living side by side can grow, if they succeed in loving the distance between them which makes it possible for each to see the other whole against the sky.  ~Rainer Maria Rilke

“You don’t develop courage by being happy in your relationships everyday. You develop it by surviving difficult times and challenging adversity.”

However good or bad you feel about your relationship, the person you are with at this moment is the “right” person, because he or she is the mirror of who you are inside.
— Deepak Chopra

What you call flaws are really just the scars of hurts and wounds accumulated over a lifetime. – Deepak Chopra
